Furry Kawans

2026

These works were created for the exhibition 'Furry Kawans' organized by and held at Wasuka Art Gallery. I aimed to capture the small encounters between urban wildlife and domesticated animals within our city, focusing on moments of coexistence and curiosity.

Do You Live Here Too?

A quiet moment unfolds beneath the HDB void deck as a British shorthair and a Zebra dove meet in stillness, with their tilted heads acknowledging one another. The work captures a brief greeting of gentle awareness, reflecting how pets and wildlife quietly share the same urban environment as us.

Are You New Around Here?

A Labrador retriever and a Plantain squirrel meet at a lamppost, with one leaning up and the other climbing down, mirroring each other’s curiosity through posture and gaze. The work highlights how curiosity bridges the divide between pets and native wildlife species, with urban structures facilitating their interaction and coexistence.
